Marvel Star Wars #1

Written by Ioannes Oculus

Marvel just released the first part of new Star Wars comic series. I used to read comic books a lot of years ago. It seems that I will start reading them again.

This was the first ever comic digital edition I read. I though that would not be as satisfying as having a printed copy. I couldn’t afford printed one, so I decided to buy digital. In fact, I shouldn’t buy that too, as I’m nearly totally out of money. But I did buy and I don’t regret it.

The story takes place between episodes IV and V on the moon called Cymoon. Rebels just destroyed the Death Star and they are continuing their fight against the Empire. This is going to be a tough and dangerous mission for them as their reach weapon factory on the moon.

I love the drawing made by John Cassaday. It makes the people and places get out of the paper and start living! Combined with a great story by Jason Aaron it made me experience one of the best comic readings so far. There is only one disadvantage of this issue. It’s too short! I can hardly wait for the next one. Please keep fingers crossed that I won’t bankrupt till it is released.

Ioannes Oculus

I am addicted to languages, both modern and ancient. No language is dead as long as we can read and understand it. I want to share my linguistic passion with like minded people. I am also interested in history, astronomy, genealogy, books and probably many others. My goals now are to write a novel in Latin, a textbook for Latin learners, Uzbek-Polish, Polish-Uzbek dictionary, modern Uzbek grammar and textbook for learners. My dream is to have a big house in UK or USA where I could keep all my books and have enough time and money to achieve my goals.
